The Choir at St. Paul UMC
welcomes new members!
All ages & levels of singing experience are welcome & encouraged to come.
Enjoy singing new and old hymns.
Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening
7:30-8:30 pm & Sundays before services, 10:30-11am.

Results of 10/1/17 Church Council :
– Committee Memberships were approved & emailed to Church listserv on Oct 2nd;
– the 2018 Budget was approved
– We reviewed church goals and encouraged workgroups in their work!
– We approved a threshold that any project greater than $10,000 has to be presented for   Church Council . Any project $10,000 or less can be approved by the Joint Finance/ Trustees Committee.
– Updates were given on these projects: Website, Playground, Electronic Sign out front;
– Pastor Kori discussed a One-Board Model; vote approved for church to explore this model.

Goal Setting for St. Paul 2017 and Beyond!
Short-term goals: All but one are done!
What’s next?
ALL OF US: Let’s get the Workgroups together to discuss the plans for the medium and long-term goals for Church Council consideration.
Playground: Workgroup met Sunday 9/17; plans are underway for a new playset and sprucing up of the existing playground equipment
Website: at our next Workgroup meeting (Oct 10, 6:30pm) we will chose a new template for the website and update content!
Marketing: Phil Bowling is gathering quotes for a new electronic sign to be inserted into the existing metal sign at the front of the church.

Northgate Park Food Truck Rodeo.
St. Paul hosts the Children’s games.
Come, meet some neighbors and provide
play time with the children.

Joint Finance/Trustees Committee Meetings
Sunday, November 5th & January 7th @ 5pm
to continue discussions regarding operating costs & projects funded by the sale of the Murray Avenue home.

URBAN MINISTRIES
Want to help serve the less fortunate in Durham?
St. Paul will be serving lunch on Saturday, Nov 25.
