URBAN MINISTRIES for 2016

These are the dates that St. Paul UMC will be helping prep a meal for Urban Ministries & also serving lunch.
No cooking skills are required, just a desire to serve those less fortunate here in Durham.

Christmas Eve
Come join us as we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child in a Candlelight Communion Service, December 24th at 5:30pm. The Church will receive canned goods to take to Urban Ministries.

You are invited to bring gifts of nonperishable food
to place under the Chrismon Tree.
Your gifts will be taken to Urban Ministries (food pantry) where they will be used to feed the hungry.

New Year’s Eve Open Door Floating Communion
Come receive communion during an Open Door Floating Communion on December 31st from 4 to 6 pm. Stay and pray and reflect as long as you like.
Go as you are led. Christ’s table is open to all who come.
Prepare for the New Year at His table.

The Leadership of St. Paul invites you to a Leadership Retreat
Friday, January 22 (6-9 p.m.) &
Saturday, January 23 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
All are welcome & strongly
encouraged to attend!
You do not have to hold a leadership position at the church to attend the retreat. The retreat will be held in Fellowship Hall & will be guided by an outside facilitator. This is a great opportunity to prayerfully plan & discuss the ways God is moving at St. Paul now & as we look toward the future.
Friday dinner & Saturday lunch are included in the retreat, which is at no-cost to you.
