Word from Bishop Hope Morgan Ward :
Strong winds have impacted communities in eastern North Carolina and I, as the bishop of the North Carolina Annual Conference, invite you to pray and give generously so that our church may be a healing presence in the communities of destruction.
An immediate wave of volunteers were present to secure roofs and to begin the first wave of disaster response. Our disaster response leaders are creating ways for you to engage directly through work teams, helping families repair their homes.
I would like to invite an offering in every church in the North Carolina Annual Conference for this specific cause. Your generosity will be a means of comfort and help to those who are in need this day.
Thank you for your prayers, your generous gifts, and your service as we work together to help people get back home. In this way, we will be bearing one another’s burdens and fulfilling the law of love in Christ Jesus, our Lord. St. Paul will take an offering on May 11th to support this cause.
