This Week at St. Paul

Neighborhood Block Party: Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse is hosting a Neighborhood Block Party at the Pavilion behind the church on Saturday, June 2nd from 4pm to 7pm. All are invited to attend! We are looking for volunteers to assist with the cooking, games, bake sale, set-up and clean-up. Please see Tina Brunell if you can contribute to and assist with the bake sale. Please see Phil Bowling, Darrel Brunell, Richard Ward or Marianne Ward if you can assist with cooking, set-up and clean-up. Please see Felicia Brunell if you can assist with the games. Two bands are performing live: Audio Revival contemporary/progressive Christian) and Shelter (pop/rock cover band).

Prayer Time/Bible Study Wednesday, May 16, Prayer Time/Bible Study, 6:30 PM

Baby Bottle Blessings: The United Methodist Women invite you to join them in this fundraiser. Pick up a baby bottle at church beginning Sunday, May 20. Take it home and drop your change into it. Currency and checks made payable to Pregnancy Support Services are great, too. Return the bottle containing your gift by Sunday, June 17. Money collected will help support important needs such as parenting education, college campus outreach, and abstinence education in public schools. Thank you!

Eyeglasses for Haiti: If you have prescription and/or reading glasses that you no longer need, give them to either Dot Wentz or Linda Lane at church. They will be donated to Luke’s Mission, taken to Haiti, and given to those who need glasses. Thank you for caring and for helping improve the vision of others!

HABITAT HOUSE: Construction continues on the 108 N Blacknall Street house for Belvalon Nicholson and her three children. St. Paul is scheduled to work one more Saturday — June 23. We will provide lunch June 23. Contact Linda Lane (919-477-8684; HHLane@AOL.com) if you can help. Thank you.
Food Truck Rodeo is every 3rd Thursday. Here is a chance to meet and love our neighbors at the Food Truck Rodeo 5:00-8:30p at the Northgate Park near the tennis courts.
Youth Music Workshop: Youth of your church who have completed grades 6 – 12 are invited to attend a youth music workshop directed by Allen Pote. Youth attending will prepare anthems to share at the Wednesday evening worship service at Annual Conference when Bishop Gwinn will share his State of the Church address. The workshop will be held at Louisburg College, Monday, June 11 – Wednesday, June 13. The cost of the workshop is $100 and will include room, meals, and transportation from Louisburg to Raleigh for the Annual Conference session.
